Number 8:  Back to the land – nothing like chickens to add to the urban farm life style.
Andrea and Denise have a great yard full of fruit trees, berry bushes, and several vegetable garden plots, but there is nothing like having livestock to make one feel like you are living off the land.  “There’s nothing like feeding chickens and yourself from the garden, harvesting the wonderful eggs, and returning the chicken manure back to the earth and garden, thus completing the cycle of nutrients.” Denise and Andrea said in unison.
